The BeWell Studio for Happy Wave Acupuncture

What to expect

Your first visit

Your first visit will involve a verbal review of systems followed by an acupuncture session. Depending on your presentation, we might do a guided mini- meditation and or cupping in addition to placing the sterile, one-time use needles. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing as you do not need to undress for your session. At the minimum you will feel relaxed; some people feel relief right away (though symptoms may return). For others, the effects are more subtle and chronic conditions might take multiple sessions to notice a difference. The goal of the first session is to start that positive shift, and often times the benefits of the session continue to reveal themselves for up to 24-hours after the treatment.

Repeat visits

Acupuncture is not a one and done! Most people feel relief for several days following the treatment. The intention is that we get the relief to last longer and longer so that you are symptom free in-between sessions.

holistic approach

I am more than happy to look at any relevant imaging or lab results that support your diagnoses and/ or speak with your physician if you feel that is helpful. I will design your acupuncture treatment by translating your biomedical presentation into a Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern. There is overlap between the two medicinal systems, but they are not the same. For this reason, you don’t even need a biomedical diagnosis for me to come up with your treatment; however, any and all information is helpful.

about acupuncture

Acupuncture is a time-honored practice that continues to be widely used for its potential health benefits. While its mechanisms and efficacy are still under study, many people find relief and improved well-being through this ancient healing art.

Acupuncture is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments; we NEVER recommend acupuncture replace conventional healthcare. We practice integrative medicine focusing on holistic approaches to health, emphasizing the balance of mind, body, and spirit.

Vagal Nerve Toning
